Ruston Paving's Durham crews recently completed several mill and fill projects for Highwoods Realty in North Park, a business office complex in Raleigh. In a mill and fill project, the existing deteriorated asphalt pavement is removed with a milling machine and a new layer of hot mix asphalt is applied to create a smooth surface. Our crews even paved some of the areas on a Sunday to take advantage of the beautiful North Carolina weather and avoid inconveniencing the park's businesses. Highwoods Realty's corporate manager of building operations commented that the work "looked great", was completed in a very short time period, and with minimal disruptions to area businesses.
