Located in the central part of the state and along the popular I-95 corridor, Richmond is the 4th largest city in Virginia. The Greater Richmond Region includes the cities of Richmond, Petersburg, Hopewell and Colonial Heights. In the past, Ruston Paving was able to satisfy the demand for work and asphalt paving services for Richmond, VA, and surrounding areas in Central Virginia from our Northern VA Division and our Raleigh/Durham Division. Ideally located halfway between these two locations and acting as one of the gateways to the Hampton Roads area of Virginia (Norfolk, Newport News and Virginia Beach), Central Virginia quickly became an obvious choice for expansion.

Hancock Village Center
Chesterfield, VA
Ruston Paving was contracted by Rivercrest Realty to rehabilitate the pavement at Hancock Village Shopping Center. The existing asphalt surface was cracked and deteriorated so the old pavement needed to be removed and a new wearing surface installed. Ruston Paving worked diligently to keep all the stores open, including a Starbucks drive-thru that stays busy during all hours of the day.
Bensley Park
Chesterfield, VA
While undergoing a large-scale renovation of the parking lot at Bensley Park, unstable subbase was encountered throughout the site delaying the job and costing money. We formulated a plan to perform full depth reclamation to stabilize the parking lot footprint, and then installed two layers of asphalt paving, saving them money and getting the project schedule back on track.
Elkardt Baptist Church
Chesterfield, VA
We were contacted by Elkardt Baptist Church to evaluate their parking lot and provide a price to repave everything. In lieu of milling their entire parking lot, we determined an asphalt overlay with Mirafi petromat paving fabric would give them the best, longest lasting product while also saving them money.

Asphalt Milling and Asphalt Resurfacing & Overlays
Neglected asphalt pavement will require more extensive repairs. This may require the complete removal of the asphalt pavement or a simple resurfacing or overlay of the existing pavement.
Soil Stabilization and Full Depth Reclamation
A detailed site inspection will evaluate the strength of the subgrade for the new asphalt surface. It may be necessary to enhance the underlying materials providing a strengthened foundation to support the new pavement.
Excavation, Grading, Storm Drainage and Stone Base
When a new pavement section is required, we provide a turnkey solution that includes the excavation, grading and installation of the stone base prior to capping it off with a new asphalt pavement surface.
Tennis Courts, Pickleball Courts, Running Tracks, and Walking Trails
Although asphalt is mostly found in parking lots and roadways, we specialize in the repair and construction of less common athletic and recreational surfaces. Examples of these are walking trails, running tracks, tennis courts and pickleball courts.
