As Syracuse University prepares for its students to return for a new school year, some major renovations were being completed throughout the campus. At Henry Street in front of the University's West Campus Apartments, too many utility cuts and patches in the roadway had undermined the structural integrity of the surface. Thus, Ruston Paving was contracted by Fisher Construction, the general contractor on the project, to mill off and remove the top layer of pavement and overlay the roadway with a new wearing surface.
