Ruston Paving Wins 2025 Pavement Maintenance Best Video Award – Here’s the Story Behind It

At Ruston Paving, we believe that paving is more than just laying asphalt—it’s about building relationships, delivering quality, and upholding a legacy of being the best asphalt paving company in the communities we serve. That’s why we’re beyond thrilled to announce that Pavement Maintenance & Reconstruction magazine has recognized our efforts, awarding us the 2025 Pavement Maintenance Best Video Award!

Take a look behind the scenes to see the Why, How, and History of the video that earned us the top spot in this year’s competition. If you haven’t already, check out the video below:

“Even in a technology-driven world, we maintain a personal touch. When you call our offices, an actual person will answer the phone.”

Lang Butler, Vice President

With over 80 years in the paving industry, we’ve built a strong reputation, and about 70% of our business comes from repeat clients. But we wanted to visually showcase what makes Ruston Paving different—our expertise, work ethic, and personal approach to customer service.

So, we teamed up with 325 Productions to craft a compelling video that tells our story. Our goal? To provide an authentic behind-the-scenes look at our people, projects, and processes—all while maintaining the personal touch that defines us.

Bringing the Vision to Life with
In-House Talent

When the idea of creating this video was initially considered, it was clear that we didn’t want to just hire a production team and step back. We wanted to be hands-on with the process. Two of our own team members, Don Barry and Lang Butler, became certified drone pilots to capture high-quality aerial footage of our work. This allowed us to highlight real projects, real equipment, and real craftsmanship without any stock footage or generic scenes.

“We wanted to elevate our visual content to truly reflect the quality of our work. By showcasing our equipment and processes, clients can better understand what to expect when partnering with us.”

Don Barry, Director of Business Development

Keeping It Personal in a
Tech-Driven World

While the video highlights our paving expertise, it also reinforces what makes Ruston Paving unique: the importance of communication and customer service.

This philosophy is at the core of everything we do. Whether it’s a new client watching our video for the first time or a long-time partner reaching out for their next project, we believe in genuine connections and reliable service.

“Even in a technology-driven world, we maintain a personal touch. When you call our offices, an actual person will answer the phone.”

A Huge Thank You!

We’re honored to receive this recognition and want to thank Pavement Maintenance & Reconstruction magazine for this award, as well as everyone who contributed to the video’s success. A special shoutout to 325 Productions for helping bring our vision to life and to our incredible Ruston Paving team. This award is a testament to your hard work and dedication!

Final Thoughts

To the team at Ruston Paving, this award is more than just a recognition of the video. It’s a celebration of who we are and the values we stand for. Whether it’s through a video, a paving project, or a simple phone call, we’ll continue doing what we do best: delivering quality, building relationships, and paving the way for the future.
