Recently on May 6th, 2011, the Herald Sun featured the Durham County Memorial Stadium in an article. Ruston Paving was contracted in 2009 for Phase 2 of the stadium improvement project. During the initial mobilization for this phase, Ruston Paving paved the asphalt track and a new rubberized running surface was installed. "This will be the best facility that most of the kids will compete at. Except for some of the college facilities, this is one of the best facilities in North Carolina," said coach Frank Davis. Later in the spring of 2010, Ruston Paving excavated to a new sub-grade and installed 200 tons of stone and 100 tons of asphalt for the new bus drop off area.
