Due to a tremendous amount of heavy traffic over the years, one of the roadways at Chamberlin Rubber Company required some major repair. Ruston Paving proposed four different reconstruction options and discussed the pros and cons of each with Chamberlin. It was ultimately decided to bring in one of our Wirtgen reclaimers and utilize the full depth reclamation process. This required our Rochester division's crews to pulverize the existing pavement and a portion of the underlying subbase and stabilize it with Portland cement. After the material was allowed to cure, we installed a binder and surface course of hot mix asphalt. Now the newly reconstructed road will last for years to come.
