Ruston Paving has been contracted by CSX to rehabilitate a multitude of railroad crossings throughout New York. The latest crossing that was reconstructed, pictured above, required a portion of busy Route 31 to be closed for two days while the repairs were completed. During the repair, CSX crews excavated the old crossing surface and replace it with a new precast concrete crossing. Our crews milled and repaved a large section of the roadway to allow for a smooth ride over the tracks. After all was said and done, the motoring public gave us a big thumbs up!
