Asphalt Paving Contractor Serving High Point NC

About the Greensboro/Winston-Salem Division serving High Point and the Triad Region of North Carolina

High Point is the the third-largest municipality in the Piedmont Triad, behind Greensboro and Winston-Salem. The city gets its name from the fact that it was, quite literally, the highest point of the 1856 North Carolina Railroad between Charlotte and Goldsboro. Ruston Paving effectively services the city because of the area's close proximity to our Greensboro/Winston-Salem Division office.

Ruston Paving established the Greensboro/Winston-Salem Division to deliver asphalt paving services to clients in the Triad Region of North Carolina along the I-40 / I-85 corridor. The Triad encompasses the cities of Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point. Traditionally known for the tobacco, furniture and textile industries, the Triad Region is transitioning to become a high-tech and transportation/logistics leader.

A New Lot for Big Lots!

High Point, NC

The photo featured below was from Phase II of the project to reconstruct the Big Lots parking lot on Westchester Drive. We initially rehabilitated the first half of the area in 2021. Through discussions leading up to the project, we were able to work with the owner to space out the asphalt repairs in order to fit their budget in each fiscal year.

The lot itself was in bad shape - littered with cracks and potholes. Our crews were able to mill off the broken, deteriorated asphalt and pave a new surface course that will be safer and more appealing for all.

Life Changing International Church

High Point, NC

This was a project that we won on a bid directly to the Life Changing International Church. They were impressed with our professionalism and history of quality.

As sometimes it happens, while we were milling, it became evident the ground below was not suitable. We were able to approve a change order to employ a Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) process to increase stability and be able to pave the lot. We were time challenged on this one, since there would be a church service that Sunday. The managers were able to work together to make room in the schedule for the FDR.

Our lowboys enabled us to mobilize our equipment efficiently and get all necessary pieces onsite by the next morning. This allowed us to proceed with the process, which allowed us to pave Friday. Thankfully, the church was able to be open for Sunday service.

Asphalt Paving Services for the High Point Area

Asphalt Pavement Repair and New Construction

For over 80 years, Ruston Paving has been providing excellent service to our customers. We specialize in both new asphalt pavement construction and asphalt pavement repairs for commercial and industrial projects.

Parking Lots, Roadways and Subdivisions

Asphalt pavement is mostly found on parking lots and roadways. Most of our work involves the construction and repair of these more common asphalt surfaces.

Catch Basin and Storm Drainage Repair, Pothole Repair and Crack Filling

Minor repairs can extend the life of your asphalt pavement. Simple repairs to storm drainage and surface failures can prolong the life of the pavement.

Asphalt Milling and Asphalt Resurfacing & Overlays

Neglected asphalt pavement will require more extensive repairs. This may require the complete removal of the asphalt pavement or a simple resurfacing or overlay of the existing pavement.

Soil Stabilization and Full Depth Reclamation

A detailed site inspection will evaluate the strength of the subgrade for the new asphalt surface. It may be necessary to enhance the underlying materials providing a strengthened foundation to support the new pavement.

Excavation, Grading, Storm Drainage and Stone Base

When a new pavement section is required, we provide a turnkey solution that includes the excavation, grading and installation of the stone base prior to capping it off with a new asphalt pavement surface.

Tennis Courts, Pickleball Courts, Running Tracks, and Walking Trails

Although asphalt is mostly found in parking lots and roadways, we specialize in the repair and construction of less common athletic and recreational surfaces. Examples of these are walking trails, running tracks, tennis courts and pickleball courts.
